The LivePAT family of products covers the Select and Direct options, with LivePAT Select providing PAT testing companies with the power to share data from the main PAT software packages.

Initially LivePAT launched with the Select system providing data sharing from PATGuard Elite, the software option from Seaward Electronics but as of today have added SimplyPATs to its portfolio of applications in the Select family.

SimplyPATs from RSR Systems is a more cost-effective route for smaller organisations to access data from major testers and LivePAT extends the use of this by allowing the data stored within SimplyPATs to be shared with PAT clients through the dedicated website provided by LivePAT.

For more information about this, visit the LivePAT Select web page

Wow, LivePAT was released in August 2011 and following a demonstration to SELECT (The Scottish Electrical Contractor’s Association) we are proud to announce that we have been nominated for Product of the Year 2011!

Clearly SELECT can recognise the benefits LivePAT can bring to the contractor/testing company marketplace and they are particularly keen to see the LivePAT Direct product which interfaces directly with PAT testers (such as Seaward’s Supernova and Megger’s tester family) which will be released later in September 2011.

Will update more when we hear back from the awards ceremony in Glasgow on October 7th, watch this space….

LivePAT is a web-based product family which is owned and managed by FIMA Systems in Scotland, UK.

Aimed at sharing Portable Appliance Testing data (PAT Testing) with clients from testing companies viewpoints, LivePAT has two formats, LivePAT Direct and LivePAT Select.

Overview

PAT Testing has, over recent times, become the de facto requirement for businesses, academic and public sector organisations to provide the necessary testing of portable electrical appliances. The testing, whilst each test is quite short, can be a time-consuming undertaking depending on the number of pieces of equipment (or assets) which are tested, frequently extending into the hundreds for larger organisations.

The spin-off of this is that larger organisations potentially face considerable fees for testing and occasionally the client will require validation that the number of items concurs with the bill presented. Enter LivePAT, an online web application which allows PAT Testing data to be shared with clients through distinct accounts on a dedicated website interface.

As many electrical contractors have invested in the local software applications such as PAT Guard (Seaward), Powersuite Pro (Megger) and Simply PATs, the three key software applications available, LivePAT Select simply extends the sharing of this data online.

More information on the LivePAT family can be accessed through the LivePAT website or on internal pages in this blog.
